MALGARR (Shields)
Malgarr (Shields) were used traditionally with Liyangayil (Fighting Clubs) for hand to hand combat with our enemies. I have replicated the shape of these in my artworks. Mick makes Malgarr to order. Generally Malgarr come in three sizes:
- Large (650-750mm)
- Medium (400-450mm)
- Small (300-350mm)
They are made from local hardwoods (red gum, stringy bark, redbox). Artwork and designs feature local fauna and flora. Framed Malgarr are the perfect corporate gift or special gift. See the examples below and contact Mick to place your order.
